Led by Friendly Hills Middle School sixth grade science teachers Crystal Mielke and Katy Lynch, a group of sixth grade students along with members of the Green Team helped build solar suitcases. The suitcases will be shipped to a refugee school in Kenya, Africa, where they will be used to light their classrooms after sunset. The suitcases take in sunlight and solar panels to recharge their batteries. Way to go, FHMS students!
