District welcomes new two new leaders
School District 197 welcomes new Assistant Superintendent and Director of Communications

Two new leaders have joined School District 197 in the roles of assistant superintendent and director of communications.

School District 197 is pleased to announce that Peter Mau has been named as the new assistant superintendent. He officially began his employment on March 4, 2019 and has filled the position formerly held by Marcy Doud.

Mr. Mau comes to School District 197 from ISD 622 where he previously served as the director of teaching and learning. He is currently pursuing a doctorate in organizational leadership policy and development from the University of Minnesota. He also holds a superintendent licensure, an administrative K-12 principal certification and a master’s degree in human resource development from the University of Minnesota. Mr. Mau received his bachelor's degree in social science teacher education from the University of Minnesota-Morris. 

Carrie Ardito picDirector of Communications
School District 197 is pleased to announce that Carrie Ardito has been named as the new director of communications. Her employment will start on April 1, 2019 and she will be filling the position formerly held by Carrie Hilger.

Mrs. Ardito currently serves as communications supervisor for Roseville Area Schools. She comes to School District 197 with more than 25 years of experience in marketing, communications and public relations. Her vast knowledge of communications comes from years spent as a journalist and magazine editor, and later as an independent consultant, where she provided strategic communications to school districts, small businesses and non-profits for 17 years.
