With nearly 1,400 students in a four-year school, Henry Sibley is smaller than many metropolitan high schools. Our size offers more opportunities for students to explore academics, activities, and athletics.

Recognizing that the educational journey of our students does not end with high school graduation, a survey of Henry Sibley graduates from the Class of 2017 indicated that 90% planned on pursuing some form of postsecondary schooling:

  • Percent attending 4-year colleges: 64%
  • Percent attending 2-year colleges: 8%
  • Percent attending 2-year colleges with the intent to transfer to a 4-year college: 18%

School counselors are available to help with post-secondary planning and support students through the Naviance program, which allows them to develop a personalized portfolio of their work and research colleges and careers. A guide to preparing gifted and talented high school students for graduation has been developed for families: English | Spanish

Henry Sibley High School is also a TriDistrict partner in the Career & College Readiness Initiative, a collaboration of West St. Paul-Mendota Heights-Eagan Area Schools, Inver Grove Heights Community Schools and South St. Paul Public Schools. Through this program, juniors and seniors may enroll in off-site internship or career immersion programs. Learn more at https://careercollegeready.org.

At the end of the 2016-2017 school year, our students took 596 AP exams, with 77% scoring a 3 or higher. Among the 105 total students recognized:

  • 32 students were recognized as AP Scholars for scoring a 3 or higher on three or more AP exams.
